Terms & Conditions

By creating an account, accessing, or using QR Menu Platform (the "Service"), you ("User", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of a business entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

QR Menu Platform provides restaurant and Menu businesses with:

• A cloud-based digital menu management system supporting English and Amharic.
• QR code generation and tracking linked to dynamic web menus.
• Optional print-ready mica table stand design services.
• Analytics dashboards displaying scan volume and engagement data.
• Optional integrations with Telegram and WhatsApp for order notifications.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service with reasonable notice.

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep it updated.
• You must notify us immediately at legal@qrmenu.et of any unauthorised use of your account.
• We reserve the right to refuse registration or cancel accounts at our discretion.

You agree not to:

• Upload content that is false, defamatory, discriminatory, obscene, or violates any applicable law.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely claim an affiliation.
• Use the Service to distribute spam, malware, or unsolicited promotional material.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the platform.
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the Service.
• Use automated scraping tools, bots, or data-harvesting scripts against the platform.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our written consent.

5.1 Fees

Subscription fees, one-time setup charges, and any applicable taxes are described on the Pricing page. All fees are stated in Ethiopian Birr (ETB) unless otherwise specified.

5.2 Payment Terms

• Payments are due in advance of the service period.
• We accept major debit/credit cards and supported local payment methods as displayed at checkout.
• Failed payments may result in service suspension after a 7-day grace period.

5.3 Refund Policy

• Subscription plans — eligible for a full refund within 14 days of the first payment if no QR codes have been scanned.
• One-time design services — refunds are not available once design work has commenced.
• Refund requests must be submitted to legal@qrmenu.et.

5.4 Price Changes

We will notify existing subscribers at least 30 days before any price increase takes effect.

The QR Menu Platform name, logo, interface design, software, and documentation are the exclusive intellectual property of QR Menu Platform and its licensors, protected by Ethiopian and international copyright and trademark law.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service solely for your internal business purposes in accordance with these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.

You retain full ownership of all menu items, images, prices, descriptions, and other content you upload to the platform ("Your Content").

By uploading Your Content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, display, and transmit Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the necessary rights to Your Content.
• Your Content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
• Your Content does not violate any applicable laws, including Ethiopian food-safety and advertising regulations.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or applicable law, without prior notice.

The Service may integrate with or link to third-party services (e.g., Telegram, WhatsApp, payment processors). These integrations are subject to those third parties' own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of any third-party service. Your use of third-party services is entirely at your own risk.

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
• Uninterrupted, error-free, or virus-free operation.
• Accuracy or completeness of any data or analytics.

We do not warrant that defects will be corrected or that the platform is free from harmful components.

To the maximum extent permitted by Ethiopian law, QR Menu Platform and its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any:

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity.
• Damages resulting from unauthorised access to or alteration of your data.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the greater of ETB 5,000 or the total fees paid by you in the 3 months preceding the claim.

By You

You may cancel your account at any time from the dashboard settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

Effect of Termination

We will retain Your Content for 90 days post-termination, after which it will be permanently deleted. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability sections) shall survive.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute arising from these Terms that cannot be resolved amicably shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

We may revise these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email and/or a prominent notice on the platform at least 14 days before the revised Terms take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service before the effective date.
